Elder/Dependent Adult Abuse Hotline (877) 4-R-Seniors or (877) 477-3646 is staffed 24/7. 211 LA County Specialists take calls from people who want to report cases of elder or dependent adult abuse or neglect as well as from mandated reporters such as law enforcement and medical personnel. They conduct an assessment in every case and, when warranted, prepare a formal Elder Abuse Report and submit it to L.A County Adult Protective Services for follow-up. When an APS report is not necessary, the Specialist makes referrals to other organizations that can help with the issue.

Safely Surrendered Baby Hotline (877) Baby Safe (877) 222-9723 is staffed 24/7. 211 LA County Specialists take calls from individuals who want to safely surrender a newborn with no fear of arrest or prosecution as long as the baby has not been abused or neglected. 211 LA County Specialists refer them to the closest designated hospital emergency room, fire station or other designated safe haven site. Staff also provides general information about the program and the legislation that makes it possible.

Parent Outreach California Hotline (800) 901-4565 is staffed 24/7. The Parent Outreach Project is a positive outreach campaign to encourage parents to access parenting resources in the local community, to learn about the child's needs, and to seek help where they may need it. People throughout the state of California can call this hotline to receive Information about services in their community.

Winter Shelter Hotline (800) 548-6047 provides information regarding emergency cold weather shelter availability, eligibility and access. The hotline is available from November through March.
